"Thunder On The Mountain" is from his 2006 album, Modern Times, which I highly recommend.
People were passing this video around on the internet recently. Not sure if there was a reason for it. Sometimes this song just taps into the universal zeitgeist and it bubbles to the surface.
One of the things that is so fascinating about Dylan is it at least appears that he doesn't try to hard on his songs. I dunno, maybe he spends months agonizing over every syllable. I dunno. I'll say this, There is never a single word or single note that feel out of place on his songs. Maybe that's why people love them so much.
Songwriters take note.
