Don Bryant opened up his show at AmericanaFest 2017 with a cover of “Nickel And A Nail.” which was most famously done by O.V. Wright, and the night just kept getting better. He also did several tracks from his album, Don’t Give Up On Love.
Amanda Shires has kind of a Dolly Parton vibe on this track which makes your head spin when you think of it as a Madonna song.
This is one of my favorite tracks from Poor David’s Almanack” by David Rawlings. I like the haunting sound of it, like ghosts from past eras and the video matches it well.
