Even though they are named after The Louvin' Brothers real names, the Loudermilks are far more than a derivative/tribute band. Brothers Alan and Chad Edwards made a name for themselves in Charlotte as the mysterious band, Lou Ford. Their southern drawls gave you the impression they might be a southern rock or country band, but they were so much more. Likewise, on the Loudermilks self-titled album, you'll hear the boys harmonizing just like the Louvin Brothers and other old-time brother acts from the 30s. But their debut self-titled album is is a definitely country / rock album. Maybe a bit world weary, maybe a little bittersweet, but a definiely a feel-good album
I'm adding "Watch 'em Fall," "Quite Honestly," and "Come Along With Me" to rotation.
