Nocona - Long Gone Song
Long Gone Song by Nocona is full of rave-up garage rock for high lonesome desperadoes. It's guaranteed to start a stampede in a world full of dull lonely cattle drives. Yes, it's rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. But it's also energizing, motivating, and trippy. Their high-energy act has landed them gigs at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, SXSW, and Stagecoach because they know how to stir up a crowd.
It takes a full ensemble cast to create such a wall of sound. Nocona consists of Chris Isom on lead vocals and lead guitar, Adrienne Isom on guitar and vocals, Annie Rothschild on upright bass and vocals and Justin Smith on drums, Elan Glasser is on harmonica.
According to Chris Isom, "NOCONA" is an old Tejas word. He says, “Nocona is the area in Texas where my Mom’s family originally lived. It comes from the Comanche word for Wanderers or Travelers.”
Nocona has released on video, "Beverly Hills Blues," which captures the trippy, LA hipster side of the bands sound.
I'm adding "Long Gone Song (radio edit)," "All The Victories Of The World (radio edit)," "It's Just," "Ahhh Lovey," and "Outside The Lines" to rotation.
